THERAPY WITH ME

I am a Spiritually Informed Therapist:

This means I treat the WHOLE person, taking into consideration everything that makes up who you are, including your mind body, and spirit.

Being a spiritually informed therapist means that I work from a relational lens, entering each therapeutic relationship with empathy, patience, love, and understanding.

It is important to note that spirituality and Religion only enter the space if you want it to.

My role is to EMPOWER rather than help:

Helping implies that your problem can be solved, but when you, a person with a marginalized identity, live in a world that is constantly working against you, there is not always a quick fix. We live in a world where we are constantly fighting, and that fight can be made easier through empowerment. Empowerment is overcoming trials, taking control of the narrative, and discovering the strength and confidence that have always lived inside. Empowerment gives us the energy and motivation to make a change and drives us to take action.

APPROACHES:

I take a holistic, client-centered approach, emphasizing the mind-body connection.

I work from a relational, spiritually informed, trauma-informed, resiliency lens.

I utilize self-psychology, dialectic behavior therapy (DBT),
mindful self-compassion, and internal family systems (IFS).

I also incorporate art, crafts, dance, music, and other forms of creative expression.

AREAS OF FOCUS:

Anxiety, depression, PTSD, autism, ADHD, invisible and visible disabilities, spiritual/religious trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, systemic racism, identity exploration, life transitions, asexual and aromantic-related issues, people in caregiving roles (professionally or otherwise), and theatre and entertainment professionals.
